After close but in truth comprehensive 1-0 wins in their opening Champions’ League group matches against Manchester City and CSKA Moscow, FC Bayern travel to Rome for what will be a crucial double header against the Serie A side. The last meeting between the two teams would come in the group stage during the 2010/11 season: with a foot firmly in the knockout phase Bayern would take a two goal lead courtesy of a Mario Gómez brace, but would then see a spirited comeback from their hosts with Francesco Totti pinching the points with a penalty eight minutes from time.

RED DRAGONS ON TOUR!

This game is a special one in the Red Dragons’ Calendar, as it sees our first tour of the season. When FC Bayern line up at the Stadio Olimpico, we will be there in the eternal city among the visiting Südkurve to cheer the team on. So, while the match will be shown at the Bavarian Beerhouse Lair, for this match it will be a case of “all roads lead to Rome”!
